Great video. You are right about ammo weight. 50 rounds of 12 gauge weigh 5lbs. 1000 rounds of 22lr weigh 5lbs. 5.56 rounds? 100 rounds of 5.56 weigh 5 lbs. To carry so much ammo is foolish. A lot of people apparently carry tons of ammo and less food. I guess they are going to be looters before it is all over. I have a long term bug out bag that I am working to get the weight down below 40 lbs. It is a challenge “Good Job”

I’ve put thousands of Stingers through my Ruger 10-22 over the years and it has never had a single problem. If your smoking meat for future times, just be wary. Keep some heavy arms with you for the worst kind of animals. You know, the smart ones on two legs.

…i hope what i said in the video was clear, i do NOT recommend smoking, for that very reason, it attracts humans, bears, wolves etc.

stick to the smallest game possible, and eat as you gather… to avoid having attractants on you.

the papoose weighs 3.3 pounds, my 795SS weighs 4.4

that weight saving is mostly due to the shorter barrel, and being weighed with 7 rounds instead of ten (smaller magazine etc).

I have no first hand experience, but i didn’t believe the removable barrel could be as accurate, thus i went with a drop forged, single piece rifle. the weight difference isn’t really much when you consider what you get, and there is nothing to break (less parts)

papoose is a fine gun though!
