    @flippitydoo You …
    @flippitydoo You are very funny. Maybe this will help you understand. My wife decided to raise her daughter without toy guns or knives. They were not allowed. She was however taught to get out and work for what she wanted. She never came to me asking for junk like a video game. On her own she volunteered for beach cleanups and park restorations. She asked me for a hammer for the parks. It’s not about warriors. It’s about taking the initiative to do stuff for yourself and others. Get it now?

    Dear Nutnfancy and Veri :-) ) Thanks for making this and all other video’s, letting us enjoy the wonderful nature and letting me know I want to do this even more then I already do. Apart from al the technical suggestions, details and information I love to see your adventures including the nature shots! By the way I’ve just got my first Kershaw Skyline and Spyderco Delica (blue) knives and I love them. Questions: What kind of oil do you use (non toxic variety) to preserve the blade? Thanks again!

    This was a great vid nutn’, really enjoyed the casual feel.

    I had a thought on the wind being a problem in the lakes and in some places we use sea anchors, an anchor designed to drag in the ocean rather than the ocean floor.. You could adapt the same principle in a light-weight form. Essentially its a bucket with a rope on it to give your boat drag against the wind. These buckets can be made much like your portable camp bucket, being light and compact.

    Hope this info is usefull, Troy.

    @CampfireTalk I hear you Campfire. I find it necessary to block out those times on the calendar. Otherwise it gets filled up with the mundane things of life. Well said my friend.

  14. Cr0cket20 Says:

    @flippitydoo I’ll …
    @flippitydoo I’ll make it simple. You don’t like, don’t watch/participate. For example, based on your comments, I seriously doubt I would like whatever content you would have to offer, therefore I don’t view your channel. That my friend is “not rocket science.” Just sayin’.

    @flippitydoo …
    @flippitydoo CampfireTalk and I are buddies, firstly. Secondly, hundreds of comments a day come in…its impossible to understand if you haven’t experienced it. Thirdly, its not “rocket science” that it makes his job easier. Fourthly…its really not your business or your place to tell TNP how to run their channel. Why don’t you find something productive to do that doesn’t involve trollng or poking your beak in another person’s business? That’s a good boy. — Veri

    @outkasst88 I hoped …
    @outkasst88 I hoped you’d read it before replying. Dr. Newgard did point out that it would take AT LEAST 4.6 seconds (but most probably longer) for an average human to fall down after getting shot in the thoracic aorta (most lethal shot placement possible).

    The gap between the moment of getting shot in COM to the moment the body becomes incapable of purposeful offensive motion is at least 4-5 seconds. The time from getting shot to the moment of cardiac death and brain death will be much longer.

  19. outkasst88 Says:

    @docnightfall Um… …
    @docnightfall Um… Thanks for the “education”, but I don’t get my info from the internet. Sorry if you felt disrespected by me calling your bullshit, but truth can sting sometimes. If you shoot a bear in the heart or lungs with a 9mm bullet from within the effective range of the gun, that animal is DONE. it’s true that it might not die instantly, but that bear won’t be standing, let alone attacking.

  20. docnightfall Says:

    @outkasst88

    I …
    @outkasst88

    I don’t appreciate the disrespectful tone but I’ll educate you anyway. Even humans don’t die instantly from a shot to C.O.M. The A zone includes heart, lungs and the great vessels, which ARE lethal targets but not immediately incapacitating.

    Look at firearmstactical(DOT)com(SLASH)wound(DOT)htm under Suggested Reading, and read the condensed text of Dr. Newgard’s forensic pathology research article.

    A bear going to town on you for five seconds will seriously f__k you up.

  21. Shambles940 Says:

    @outkasst88 It …
    @outkasst88 It would not be easy. At all. I don’t know where you get your info but you would have to shoot it inside its mouth to sever the spinal cord.

    Let me rephrase …
    Let me rephrase that. A 9mm ‘could’ kill a Kodiak brown bear, but I sure as wouldn’t recommend trying it.

  24. BlunderingThundering Says:

    @ShadowTeam28
    I’d …

    @ShadowTeam28
    I’d say it depends on the bear… and the shot location. Put it this way, when I lived in Kodiak the answer would be ‘Hell no a 9mm won’t stop a bear’. A smaller bear? Sure, a 9mm might work.
