Katadyn Hiker Pro Water Filter

Here is my Katadyn Hiker Pro Water Filter.

It filters down to 0.3 microns at 48 strokes per quart. Total weight including the bag and accessories shown here is right at 1 pound.

I bought it at Basegear.com: http://www.basegear.com/hikerprofilter.html when it was on sale for $60. Score!

I’ll be filming my in-field review of it the next time I get in the woods, so stay tuned for that.

Thanks for watching!

@Cr0cket20 Thanks. Well, I haven’t actually used it since that installation, but it is O-ring sealed, so there shouldn’t be any problems. As promised, on my next outing I will do a field test of the filter and hose system (on video), and report back with my findings. :)

@wrght9185 Glad I could help with your decision. :)

Katadyn makes really good, high-quality water filters. I know people who have used them for 10-20 years (when it was made by PUR) with zero problems.

Shop around for the best price and see if you can find one on sale. It’s worth the $80, I’m just cheap. lol. Amazon is a good place to shop, but Basegear is also one of my favorites.
