Even when you … Even when you distill water and collect the
condensation, chemicals can still condense into your new container of distilled water. It’s pretty hard to get away from chemical contamination of water. Maybe start out with a ceramic filter, then distill the water, and go through a ceramic filter for a second time. That might remove all the chemicals.
hmm, having the EPA … hmm, having the EPA stand behind anything doesn’t make me feel any better. They also list CO2 as a toxic waste, you know , what we exhale when we breath and plants use to grow.
Unfortunately most … Unfortunately most of the surface water in the US is tainted by some pollutant or another. In a survival situation the immediate concern is about pathogens that can make you ill or incapacitate you.
Thanks Selica, I … Thanks Selica, I agree. These tabs are great for last-ditch survival kits. I like how they are small, individually sealed, single use items; easy to portion/rotate proper amounts. More effective against bio-organisms than iodine, with less health contra-indications too, but still have to mind possible chemical contamination. My personal opinion, I’m not too big on chemical purification, particularly stand alone, but they are an inexpensive practical insurance. Very handy in a bag of tricks!
I use the Micropur … I use the Micropur Forte MF1T from Katadyne they will purify 1 L of water in 30 min and 2 hours for Garia i think 4 hours for water Purification is a Little to long if you are in a Emergency situation or Survival situation
so the benefits of … so the benefits of using this method is you would not have to make a fire or bust out some kind of a stove and let the water heat up? You just drop it in the vessel, shake it up and in an hour (or more) you have safe water.
im the second viewr … im the second viewr and im a fan from selica from peak survival i love you and the vids u make, thank you for making them. Bye Bye
